Rate of pay: Grade D1 to D4 – £19,223 – £20,779
Additional allowance for any Sleep-in shift worked

Community Lives Consortium is a Registered Charity and Domiciliary Care Agency that provides support for people with a learning or physical disability to live the life they choose in their own home within the communities of Swansea, Neath & Port Talbot. We are currently looking for flexible and committed Support Managers to provide a quality service to the people we support.

We are currently looking for Support Managers who enjoy caring for adults with a learning or physical disability whilst maintaining their dignity, safety and independence. This can include cooking/preparing meals; housekeeping/laundry, accompanying the people we support at social, leisure, recreational activities, hobbies and providing personal care. Every person we support is an individual and they will look to you to work in a safe and professional way.
Support Managers will be responsible for managing a service for people with learning disabilities as well as managing a team of Support Workers while promoting the independence of the people we support enabling them to develop new skills and friendships and encourage them to enjoy a full life within the community.
There are a variety of shifts on a rota basis which include days, evening, weekends, wakeful nights, public holidays and sleep in duties.
Must have a commitment to working towards QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care
o Must have a QCF / NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care
o Must have a commitment to working towards a Training Assessing and Quality Assurance qualification / NVQ Assessors Award within a negotiated timescale
o Commitment to achieving Advanced Diploma in Positive Behaviour Management
All training provided free of charge to give you all the skills required to provide an excellent customer service.
Due to the nature of this role you will be required to travel, therefore a full current driving licence is essential. If you own a vehicle and use it for any work purposes then Business Class 1 vehicle insurance is also essential. You will be required to provide evidence of these.
Holiday entitlement will be based on 29 days (pro rata) per annum rising to 33 days (pro rata) per annum after 5 completed year’s continuous service.

Some experience is required to be a successful Support Manager as we offer a thorough training programme to give you all of the skills required to provide an excellent customer service, however you must genuinely care and empathise with people. Communication skills both verbal and written are critical to this role. You must be 18 years old or over and have an understanding of what the role entails and be able to follow instruction.
