Service User Guide Part 4
Your Rights and Responsibilities when using Consortium Services
The Consortium will support you to have your rights:
When using Consortium services you will be able to:
Get involved in the local area where you live.
Maintain your relationships with friends and family if you want to.
Learn the skills you need to become as independent as you can.
Choose who provides you support. Feel good about yourself as a tenant and as a member of the general public.
Have a service that meets your needs as an individual.
Take as much control of my life as you can.
Hold any personal belief and have it respected.
Feel safe in your home.
If you do not think that these things are happening you can speak to a Consortium staff member or manager, or use the Complaints Procedure.
The Consortium will only change the way it supports you with your agreement or that of your Social Worker or Community Nurse.
When using Consortium services you must:

Not treat other tenants unkindly or hurt them in any way.
Not treat the staff who support you unkindly or hurt them in any way.

Not take or break property that belongs to the other tenants or the Consortium.

Not offend or upset other people who live in your area.
Share with Consortium staff the information that they need to provide your service.
You will work with the staff who help you, unless you are unhappy with the support you receive (please see the section on complaints).
If you don’t do these things the Consortium may stop being your Support Provider.

This could in some cases affect your Tenancy, as the landlord expects you to receive the support you need to live in your home.
