'Unkind People Project' - Report - Page 3
What we found out
The main things that service users and staff told us about problems with unkind people were:
Some people said they have good neighbours and that people in the community are kind and friendly
A lot of people said they have problems with unkind people. Most of these problems are with:
- children or young people calling names or being unkind
- neighbours complaining or being unkind
- other service users people live with or at day centres being unkind
People agreed that the best thing to do if there are problems with unkind people is:
- - don’t try and sort things out yourself
- - tell someone you trust and ask them to help you
- - keep safe
The things people said would be most useful to help sort out problems with unkind people are:
- - to produce an easy to read leaflet for service users
- - to produce a cd of the leaflet
- - to give staff information so that they can help and advise service users
