The Management Committee

The Management Committee have a responsibility to oversee the management of the Community Lives Consortium.

Members of the committee have delegated schemes which they visit every year. This is an opportunity for them to discuss with tenants and staff any concerns or problems they are facing and how the committee might be able to help.

Pamela Evans - Chair

Committee Member since 2001. Pam was elected Chair in June 2006 as a temporary measure until the AGM in October 2006.

In my life I have :-

Worked as a Voluntary Fundraiser for the Red Cross

- Been a full-time wife and mother

- Helped set up a new and ultimately very successful computer training and consultancy company.

- I am currently working part-time as marketing co-ordinator for that same company. Pam was re-elected at the 2004/2005 AGM.

Dave Cox - Vice Chair

- Board Member since 2003

Workshop Instructor for the CLC. This is my first time on board as a Committee Member.

I have worked for the Consortium since 1993.

Dave is a co-opted member of the Committee, he represents Staff on the Committee.

Frank Hounsell

Board Member since 2004

Frank was co-opted to the Board of Management in March 2004.

After leaving Dynevor Grammar School Frank trained and worked locally as a Surveyor. In 1965 he joined Thyssen (Great Britain) Ltd eventually reaching the position of Deputy Managing Director responsible for all the Group’s commercial and contract finance activities. In 1987 he joined the Board of The Longford Group based in London with responsibilities for the Group’s property management and maintenance. He retired in January 2000.

Frank was a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.

In his private life he was a Rotarian for several years and is a past captain and current vice president of Pennard Golf Club. Frank was elected in the 2003/2004 AGM.

Christopher Edwards

Board Member since 2004

Christopher was co-opted to the Board of Management in October 2004.

Chris has been a tenant supported by the Consortium since 1995. Chris was a founder member of the Consortium Tenant Participation Group. Chris is a member of the Tenants Lives Group and the Consortium Social Club Committee. He also works with West Glamorgan Forum as a Trustee and has been with them since they set up about fourteen years ago. Chris is also Chairman on the Neath/Port Talbot People First committee for the second year running.

In his spare time Christopher is a Swansea City football supporter. Christopher was elected in the 2005/2006 AGM.

Nicola Roberts

Nicola was co-opted to the Board of Management in October 2004.

Nicola has been a tenant supported by the Consortium since 1989. Nicola was a founder member of the Consortium Tenant Participation Group. She is a member of the Tenants Lives Group and Secretary of the Consortium Social Club.

Nicola works at Ty Hafen Charity Shop, in Morriston one day a week and she also sings in a band in her spare time. Nicola was elected in the 2005/2006 AGM.

Wendy Evans

Board Member since February 2006.

Wendy is the Community Services Officer for CLC and represents the Staff on the Committee. Wendy is the Community Services Officer for CLC. Wendy started with CLC in 1991 as a Support Worker and then Teamleader and became Recruitment Co-ordinator in 1999. Since July 2005 Wendy has taken on the role of Community Services Officer assisting the Community Services Department in the areas of development, collating of information and day to day operations as directed by the Director of Community Services. She also facilitates the Staff and Relative Forums with Christine Brian and is a member of the Supporting Staff Sub-Group. Wendy has also taken on the role of one of our Fair Treatment Advisors.
